Millstone Township audit shows no financial issues

MILLSTONE – No recommendations were made in the 2016 municipal audit of Millstone Township.

At a Township Committee meeting on July 19, committee members passed a resolution adopting the 2016 audit. Under state law, the governing body of every municipality must have an annual audit of its books, accounts and financial transactions.

The audit was conducted by the firm Holman Frenia Allison, P.C.

According to the resolution, the audit contains no recommendations and because no recommendations were made, officials were not required to prepare a corrective action plan.

By passing the resolution, the committee certified to the state’s Local Finance Board that all members of the governing body reviewed, as a minimum, the sections of the annual audit entitled “General Comments and Recommendations.”

In other business, committee members passed a resolution awarding a contract totaling $78,503 to Winner Ford, Cherry Hill, for two four-wheel-drive pick-up trucks with an 8-foot bed.

Deputy Mayor Fiore Masci and committee members Gary Dorfman and Nancy Grbelja voted in favor of the resolutions. Mayor Michael Kuczinski and Committeeman Bob Kinsey were absent.
