HOWELL – The Madison Beggs Kicks 4 Kids organization will hold its sixth annual soccer marathon and gift auction on Sept. 9 at Soldier Memorial Park, Howell.

The event is held in memory of Madison Beggs, a young girl from Howell who lost a 22-month-battle with brain cancer in June 2012, according to a press release.

“Our goal through the soccer marathon is to make a positive impact on as many lives as we can,” directors of the organization said in a press release. “If we can positively affect just one life then we will have made the world a better place.”

According to the press release, in its first five years the soccer marathon has raised $110,000 to benefit pediatric cancer charities.

This year’s event will benefit the Frances Foundation for Kids Fighting Cancer and Pediatric Cancer Research at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

At this time, organizers are looking for soccer teams to participate in the marathon, sponsors of all levels, gift basket donations and volunteers. For more information, visit http://madisonbeggsk4k.wixsite.com/soccer or email jmcdevitt100@gmail.com
