Freehold Township Little League one win away from advancing to championship game

With a 2-0 win over Texas on Aug. 2, the Freehold Township Little League 13U team is one more victory away from the championship game in the Intermediate 50/70 Baseball League World Series in Livermore, California.

Freehold Township had lost its first game to Danville, California, 3-2, on July 30. Since then, it has beaten Indiana, 7-2, on Aug. 1 and Texas on Aug. 2 to stay alive in the tournament.

Freehold Township’s next game is Aug. 3 against Danville at 9 p.m. With a win, Freehold Township would play in the championship game on ESPN on Aug. 5.
