Documentary on Holocaust survivor to be focus of Brandeis meeting Aug. 16

Brandeis National Committee Middlesex Chapter will meet at 1 p.m. Aug. 16 at Temple B’nai Shalom, 15 Fern Road, East Brunswick.
The documentary “MARGIT: Not A23029,” will be presented by Peppy Margolis, director of Community Outreach at the Institute of Holocaust and genocide Studies at Raritan Valley Community College.
Margit Feldman lost her immediate family in the Holocaust. She raised her children in Bound Brook, where she began her career as a public speaker more than 40 years ago. She told her story in her biography “Margit, A Teenager’s Journey through the Holocaust and Beyond.” 

This program is free and open to all.
The August social justice collection will be collecting school supplies, including backpacks, to be given to Jewish Family Services for distribution to needy students of all ages and denominations.
