In honor of the 100th anniversary of the appearance of the Blessed Virgin Mary at Fatima, the Altar Rosary Society and the Holy Name Society of Sacred Heart Church welcome all to a Celebration for Peace beginning with Mass at noon on Aug. 13 at Sacred Heart Church, 531 Washington Ave., South Amboy, followed by the presentation of the Our Lady of Fatima statue.
A Eucharistic prayer service will follow with reflection on the 1917 apparitions and recitation of the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary.
Refreshments will be served afterward in Memorial Hall.
