The Holbrook 12U baseball team will begin play in the Little League World Series on Aug. 17 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
Holbrook, the Mid-Atlantic Regional champion, faces New England, which won the Eastern Regional, in the first day of the prestigious tournament at 3 p.m.
The team from Jackson won the Mid-Atlantic Regional on Aug. 12 when it knocked off Thurmont of Maryland, 8-3, in Bristol, Connecticut.
