Butterfly release set for Aug. 26 at Elmwood Cemetery

Elmwood Cemetery will hold its third annual butterfly release promptly at 3 p.m. on Aug. 26 at the cemetery, 425 Georges Road, North Brunswick.

Three dozen Monarch butterflies will be released back to nature by visitors and friends of Elmwood to honor and remember loved ones.

Last summer, Elmwood Cemetery expanded its butterfly garden, which has been certified as a Monarch Waystation and a North American butterfly garden, providing a habitat friendly to native butterflies and birds.
