Karma Cat + Zen Dog Rescue Society will host its third annual Fetch & Pounce 5K on Sept. 16 when locals – and their canines – will hit the pavement to honor animals in need.

The chip-timed, USATF-certified race will be held rain or shine at North Brunswick Community Park, 2053 Route 130, North Brunswick.

Registration and packet pick-up begins at 7:30 a.m.. Race kickoff is at 9 a.m.

Participants are encouraged to bring their well-mannered, leashed canine running partners. Retractable leashes are prohibited, and participants are required to clean up after their pets.

Registration is $25 and all proceeds will benefit Karma Cat + Zen Dog.

Participants who register by Aug. 16 will receive a race t-shirt and goodie bag. Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers, as well as the top three fundraisers.
