A total of 142 golfers participated in the Holiday Express Golf Classic at the Manasquan River Golf Club in Brielle on July 17, raising $84,000 for non-profit organization Holiday Express, according to a press release from Holiday Express.
Holiday, Express, located in Tinton Falls, delivers music, food, gifts and financial support to those in need during the holiday season, according to the release.
The golfers’ efforts made this Golf Classic the organization’s most successful outing since its inception, according to the release. The outing included breakfast, 18 holes on the course, lunch, cocktail hour and an awards dinner.
According to the release, proceeds from the Golf Classic will improve the quality of life for the 27,000 adults and children being served by Holiday Express at 100 charity events during the 2017 holiday season. Holiday Express helps individuals with mental and physical challenges, veterans, individuals in addiction programs, those facing financial difficulties and children with serious illnesses.
