CentraState is set to open the CentraState Health Pavilion at Marlboro in fall 2017. The Pavilion will house the Family Practice of CentraState, as well as a full-service physical, occupational and speech therapy department, laboratory services and specialty physician offices. The Pavilion will also be home to Immediate Care Medical Walk-In of Marlboro, an urgent care center open seven days a week, with medical services overseen by board certified emergency physicians affiliated with CentraState. The CentraState Health Pavilion at Marlboro will be located in the new Marlboro Medical Arts Building, 479 Newman Springs Road (Route 520), Marlboro.

Karen Freeman, MSA, has been appointed CentraState Healthcare System’s new vice president of quality and patient safety. Freeman has 25 years of senior level leadership experience in community and academic medical centers in areas of quality, performance improvement, risk management, regulatory, accreditation, medical staff credentialing and operational leadership for various clinical and ancillary departments. Freeman comes to CentraState, Freehold Township, from Regional One Health, Memphis, Tenn., where she served as vice president of quality and risk management. She is a certified compliance professional and certified professional in healthcare risk management, as well as a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

The Legal Aid Society of Monmouth County will host its annual wine tasting reception at the 4 JG’s Vineyards, 127 Hillsdale Road, Colts Neck, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Sept. 22. This fundraising event for the Legal Aid Society is open to the public. Cost is $85 per person. Corporate sponsorships are available and will be recognized at the event.
