Holbrook needs to win to stay alive in Little League World Series

The Holbrook 12U baseball team faces a must-win situation in order to remain alive in the Little League World Series that is being played in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Holbrook opened the World Series with a 7-6 loss to Fairfield American of Connectuicut on Aug. 17. The team from Jackson will need to defeat Grosse Point Woods-Shore of of Michigan on Aug. 19 at 3 p.m.

The loser of that game will be eliminated from the championship round in the World Series. The survivor plays on Aug. 21 at 3 p.m. Meanwhile, the loser will move to the consolation round and will play at 11 a.m. on Aug. 21.

The World Series started on Aug. 17 and runs through Aug. 24. The games are televised nationally on ESPN networks.
