Holbrook alive in Little League World Series

Holbrook remains alive in the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

The Jackson team beat the West champion, Rancho Santa Margarita, California, 12-9, on Aug. 21 to avoid elimination.

With the victory, Holbrook moves onto the next round on Aug. 22 at 7:30 p.m. against the winner of Fairfield American of Connecticut and Walla Walla of Washington. A loss by Holbrook in this game will bounce the Jackson team from the World Series.

Holbrook had opened the World Series with a 7-6 loss to Fairfield American on Aug. 17. Holbrook. Holbrook rebounded and erupted to score a 15-5 victory over Grosse Point Woods-Shore of Michigan on Aug. 19.
