Resident supports Downey and Houghtaling

Assemblywoman Joann Downey has been an advocate for school funding fairness. It is clear that Ms. Downey, a social worker and a lawyer by training, strongly believes the American public education system is a major factor contributing to the greatness of America.

More specific to New Jersey, I am impressed by Ms. Downey’s strong commitment for equitable education resources being available for all of our state’s children, or more concretely, she has fought to apportion funding fairly.

Ms. Downey supports additional school aid to towns with growing enrollments, while also advocating for property tax relief to homeowners.

Ms. Downey has consistently fought for our community, including negotiation of an additional $2 million in education funding for Legislative District 11, also ensuring a total net gain in overall funding for Legislative District 11.

Ms. Downey and fellow Assemblyman Eric Houghtaling have both worked hard to prevent wasteful spending of taxpayer dollars and to ensure a better future for our community.

Given their strong record, let’s make the right choice and re-elect Downey and Houghtaling for New Jersey Assembly since they have proven they will respond to our needs.
