Monroe to hold 24-hour collection for hurricane supplies

Monroe Township will hold a 24-hour collection drive for victims of Hurricane Harvey from 8 a.m. on Sept. 8 to 8 a.m. on Sept. 9 at the rear of the Monroe Township Community Center, 120 Monmouth Road, Monroe.

A full list of acceptable items can be found at www.clothingdrive.net.

All items will be donated to the Greater Houston Community Foundation.

Any donations via check must be made payable to the foundation with “Hurricane Harvey Relief” written on the envelope. Monetary donations will be collected at the reception window of the Community Center.

From 4:30-7 p.m. Sept. 8, free hot dogs will be provided.
