Free Rabies Shots Sept. 18, 19 for Woodbridge dogs and cats

The Woodbridge Department of Health and Human Services — Animal Control Division is offering free rabies inoculations for Woodbridge Township dogs and cats from 6-8 p.m. on Sept. 18 and Sept. 19 at the Woodbridge Health Center, 2 George Frederick Plaza (adjacent to the Main Library and Woodbridge High School).

The Animal Control Division will also sponsor a pet micro-chip clinic for Woodbridge Township dogs and cats from 7-8 p.m. on Sept. 18 and Sept. 19 at the health center. Township veterinarians will be on-site to administer pet micro-chips.

With a $25 fee, it includes micro-chip, administration, lifetime pet i.d. and registration with Home Again, the national pet recovery database.

All Woodbridge Township pet owners must license and inoculate dogs and cats five months old or older.  If a dog or cat has not been inoculated since 2016, the pet must be re-inoculated.  Pet license, proof of prior rabies inoculation, and spay/neuter certificate must be presented at time of inoculation (except for first-time pet inoculations).

For more information on the Rabies Clinic, contact the Woodbridge Health Center at 732-855-0600 ext. 5003 or 5004 or visit www.twp.woodbridge.nj.us.
