North Brunswick’s Tree Maintenance crew went live less than a month ago, yet has removed more than 20 municipal trees in-house instead of contracting out. Eric Chaszar, the director of the Department of Public Works (DPW), was able to accomplish this through a reorganization of the DPW, with no additional staff added for tree maintenance services. Pictured are the Division of Streets and Roads Tree Maintenance Crew, Brent Lane, left to right, Eric Razzano, Dan Jolly and Sean Javick in front of the township’s new bucket truck.
