South Brunswick High School (SBHS) will collect donations of shoes through Dec. 31 at the school, 750 Ridge Road, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick, and in the bin near the Food for Thought Cafe at the South Brunswick Library, 110 Kingston Lane, Monmouth Junction.
The collection will raise funds for the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and micro-enterprises in developing nations while reducing landfill consumption.
The PTO will earn the funds based on the number of pairs collected. Funds2Orgs will purchase all of the donated shoes. Funds2Orgs helps to support impoverished families as they start and grow local businesses in countries including Haiti, Honduras and other nations in Central America and Africa.
