By Rick Gables

EPIX will premiere season two of Berlin Station on Sunday, Oct. 15, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. This contemporary spy drama takes a look at the activity of a CIA office on a global stage in the midst of an investigation into a now-infamous whistleblower. The series follows Daniel Miller, a new arrival to Berlin’s CIA station who is on a clandestine mission to uncover the source of the Thomas Shaw leaks. The season opens in the thick of a New World Order that has taken root and is steadily deepening. In the wake of the Far Right tide sweeping across continental Europe, Germany finds itself on the precipice of a pivotal election. Season two stars Richard Armitage as Daniel Miller, Rhys Ifans as Hector Dejean, Richard Jenkins as Steven Frost, Leland Orser as Robert Kirsch and Michelle Forbes as Valerie Edwards. New to the cast this season are Ashley Judd (“Twin Peaks,” “Insurgent”) as the new Chief of Station, BB Yates, and Keke Palmer (“Scream Queens”) as young case officer April Lewis.

Science Channel looks for the truth behind unexplained occurrences caught on surveillance cameras in its new series, Strange Evidence, premiering Tuesday, Oct. 17, at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Worldwide, 300 million surveillance cameras are watching us, on our streets, at work, and in our homes. At times, they capture images that don’t seem to follow the normal laws of physics. The series uncovers the science behind some of the most bizarre occurrences ever recorded. The premiere episode examines footage taken from a convenience store in Kentucky of a customer who suddenly caught on fire. Also, in Michigan a surveillance camera set up by a team of researchers recorded persistent eerie lights appearing at dusk, a phenomenon locals have been describing for over 40 years.

SHOWTIME will premiere its new comedy series White Famous on Sunday, Oct. 15, at 10 p.m. ET/PT, which is based on the personal experiences of Academy Award® winner Jamie Foxx. Jay Pharoah plays talented young comedian Floyd Mooney, whose star is rising, forcing him to navigate the treacherous waters of maintaining his credibility as he begins to cross over into the world of becoming “white famous.”

Experience the pulse-pounding moments behind some of the world’s greatest disasters, when Smithsonian Channel premieres its new series Make It Out Alive on Sunday, Oct. 15, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The premiere episode, “Mount St. Helens,” brings viewers back to the May 18, 1980 volcanic eruption of Mount St. Helens in Skamania County, Washington. Erupting with a blast equivalent to 27,000 atomic bombs, everything within an eight-mile radius was obliterated or carried away.
