Pumpkin carving, lighting set for Oct. 21 in Dayton

Come have fun carving a pumpkin and then watch it glow in the evening with lots of other carved pumpkins, creating a spooky Halloween scene.

The Dayton Village Citizens Coalition will hold its annual pumpkin carving and candle lighting on Oct. 21 on the lawn of the historic Wetherill House, 269 Georges Road, Dayton section of South Brunswick.

Carving begins at 3 p.m. Bring your own pumpkin or purchase one. Free designs available. Carving assistance available.

Starting at 5:30 p.m., pumpkins will be lined along the road for display.

Pumpkins may be taken home at 7:30 p.m.

Bring a snack and a non-perishable food item for the South Brunswick Food Pantry.

Parking is available on the grounds of the Wetherill House property.
