CJ Harrison, 4 of Matawan, collects his thoughts after finding out how much candy he was going to leave with at Aberdeen's Trick-Or-Trunk on Oct 28.

The Aberdeen Township PBA Local 163 will hold the second annual “Halloween Trunk or Treat” event at 4-8 p.m., Oct. 28, in the former A&P parking lot, on 325 State Route 35, in Cliffwood.

The “Halloween Trunk or Treat” is an event where businesses and residents park their vehicles in a designated area and decorate them for the holiday. Children and their families then attend and go from car to car trick or treating.

This provides a safe and controlled environment for the children to help celebrate Halloween in the traditional sense. It also allows local business owners to interact with members of the community while distributing candy to the trick-or-treaters.

The event will also feature hayrides, inflatable bounce houses, pony rides, pumpkin patches with painting, musical entertainment by a DJ, food truck vendors, costume and vehicle decoration contests, gaming trucks and other free services for attendees to enjoy.

If it rains, the event will be moved to 4-8 p.m., Oct. 29.

Local businesses interested in participating and wish to register can visit www.aberdeenpba163.com.
