Councilman left out pertinent information

I feel compelled to respond to Freehold Borough Councilman Kevin Kane’s unfounded allegations about state Sen. Jennifer Beck in a recent letter to the editor.

What Mr. Kane conveniently fails to note is that Sen. Beck fully supported the additional funding for Freehold Borough’s schools until the Democrats in Trenton, at the 11th hour, added funding cuts to other towns in the senator’s district for the sole reason of forcing her into an untenable position and causing her to vote against the bill.

Members of Freehold Borough’s Board of Education are all well aware of Sen. Beck’s tireless efforts over the years on behalf of the kids and the taxpayers of the borough.

I encourage our voters to look past purely partisan statements such as those made by Councilman Kane and examine Sen. Beck’s record on behalf of Freehold Borough and re-elect her as well as electing her very worthy running mates, Rob Acerra and Michael Whelan.
