Senator Patrick Diegnan serves to help constituents and saves lives. Diegnan and his Assembly colleagues, Nancy Pinkin and Rob Karabinchak, have been out front in the Legislature about passing laws to curb our growing opioid crisis here in New Jersey. About as many Americans are expected to die this year of drug overdoses as died in the Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan wars combined. The nationwide rise of opioid abuse over the last decade has been especially severe in the State of New Jersey, where drug overdose is the leading cause of accidental death. Within the last six months alone, Diegnan has passed laws for the safe disposal of prescription painkillers and to boost prevention of abuse by student athletes with injury with best practice guidance for parents and doctors.

Remember Patrick, Nancy and Rob on Nov. 7. They are our leaders in the Statehouse in Trenton fighting to end opioid abuse.
