Senior Center holds events for South Brunswick members

Ted Talks are held Wednesdays at the South Brunswick Senior Center, 540 Route 522, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick.

Senior members age 55 and older can watch the video and participate in a discussion facilitated by the Senior Center’s social worker.

Topics are “Do Skills Kill Creativity” at 12:30 p.m.  on Nov. 1, and “How I Held My Breath for 17 Minutes” at 10:45 a.m. on Nov. 15.

 

Magyar Bank will host a financial lecture at 12:15 p.m. on Nov. 3 to discuss the risk of today’s retirement.

 

“Herbs for Elders” with Cindy will be held at 12:15 p.m. on Nov. 15 to address the unique health concerns of people in later life and a variety of herbal remedies for prevention and the support for problems associated with aging. Sign up required by Nov. 8.

 

At 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 16, learn how to protect yourself from holiday scams, and safety tips for safe shopping this holiday season. Presented by The South Brunswick Police Department.

Maurice Mahler will present an art lecture on Matisse and Picasso at 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 17.
