The top of the administration of the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) continues to change with the appointment of Tony Maselli as the assistant director for the governing body of scholastic sports in the state.
Maselli, who is a resident of Milltown, will fill the position that will be vacated when Larry White becomes the new executive director for the NJSIAA. White was appointed last month to replace Steve Timko, who will retire at the end of this year. Timko has held the top position in the NJSIAA since 2006.
Maselli is presently the director of athletics for Montgomery Township School District. He had also spent  two years in the Metuchen School District as director of athletics and supervisor of health and physical education.
“Tony is an exceptional leader, with a strong commitment to fostering a positive, competitive environment for all the student-athletes in his charge,” Timko said. “I’m confident that his enthusiasm and professional expertise will make him an invaluable addition to NJSIAA.”
