On Election Day, Nov. 7, the residents of Manalapan will have the opportunity to vote for two exceptional candidates running for Township Committee, Amelia Rendeiro and Adam Weiss.

Amelia resides in the Covered Bridge condominium development. She is a mother of three and grandmother of eight and has been a widow for 16 years. She worked with the Girl Scouts for 35 years and worked as a recreation commissioner in Kearny for over 15 years.

Amelia currently works as an office manager and bookkeeper in East Brunswick. Manalapan will surely benefit from her previous experience as Amelia strives to bring financial stability to Manalapan, focusing on the high taxes and keeping the town from becoming over-developed,

Adam is an attorney and moved to Manalapan because of the excellent school system and open space. However, his roots go back to Manalapan to 1910. He is the great-grandchild of farmers who started their family here. As an attorney, he represents school districts through New Jersey and was formerly a councilman in North Brunswick.

He will focus on the need to control high density development and the traffic congestion throughout the town and the effect it has on the quality of life of its residents. Manalapan cannot continue to give carte blanche to profit-seeking developers.

Residents have the opportunity to elect two outstanding citizens to the Township Committee by voting for Amelia Rendeiro and Adam Weiss.
