Colts Neck

Colts Neck High School picked up its second straight victory when the Cougars knocked off Neptune High School, 42-28, on Nov. 3 in Neptune.

Colts Neck is 2-7 on the season and awaits its opponent for an NJSIAA consolation game this week.

Freehold

Freehold High School was once again steered by the play of its quarterback when it defeated Long Branch High School, 27-20, on Nov. 3 in Long Branch.

The Cougars’ Ashante Worthy threw for 207 yards and a touchdown. He also kept the ball to rush for 204 yards and a touchdown.

Freehold locked up a spot in the Central Jersey, Group 4 state playoffs with the victory, which improved its record to 6-3. The Colonials will play at Nottingham High School on Nov. 11 at 1 p.m.

Jackson Liberty

Jackson Liberty High School fell to Donovan Catholic High School, 7-0, on Nov. 3 in Toms River.

The loss dropped the Lions to 2-7 as they prepare for a state consolation game this week.

Jackson Memorial

Jackson Memorial High School was defeated by Brick Memorial High School, 27-21, on Nov. 3 in Brick Township.

Jaguars quarterback AJ Tolmachewich threw for 120 yards and a touchdown, while running back Tom Pellone rushed for 40 yards and two touchdowns for the Jaguars, who are 5-4 this season.

Jackson Memorial landed a state playoff berth in the Central Jersey, Group 4 tournament. It will play at Brick Memorial High School on Nov. 10 at 7 p.m.
