NORTH BRUNSWICK – An aspiring singer and actress has been named the North Brunswick Scholar/Athlete/Artist for October.
Margaret “Maggie” Schmidt is an eighth grade Honor Roll student at Linwood Middle School.
She is a member of the Drama Club at Linwood and has had a major role in the Linwood musical “Hairspray Jr.”
She sings in the Concert Choir at Linwood, and in the Our Lady of Peace Church Youth Choir.
Maggie volunteers as an aide in the fourth grade CCD class at the church. She has been a Girl Scout since the first grade and this year will be a Senior Girl Scout. She has participated in adopting a family each Christmas and serving the community at Elijah’s Promise.
