During the month of November, the Monmouth Museum will sponsor its Holiday Mail for Heroes program.
The program invites the community to come to the Monmouth Museum in Lincroft to make cards with kind messages for our country’s armed forces.
The cards will be created in the Monmouth Museum’s WonderWing and in the Green Arts Studio of the Becker Children’s Wing, where a array of art and craft supplies are available to create the cards.
“There are many things we do as part of our mission as a nonprofit museum because of our commitment to making the world a better place” said Avis Anderson, Executive Director of the Monmouth Museum. “It is so rewarding when a patron reinforces these programs with a monetary donation.”
This opportunity was offered because of a generous grant received from the Community Foundation of N.J.
The American Red Cross- Jersey Coast Chapter will send the cards to members of the military all over the world.
This year’s Holiday Juried Art Exhibition, Hope for the Holidays and Model Train Display at the Museum opens on Nov. 19  and will run through Dec. 31.
