“I am grateful to all those that came out to re-elect me to the Holmdel board of education.  We have made many strides over the last three years so I would expect us to continue moving in the same direction as there is still much to do,” Reddy said.

Reddy continued, “[the] biggest goal is to continue implementation of the 2020 initiative. After that it’s to continue improving our district from an educational perspective.”

Newcomer candidates Wall and Jaimie Ochojski ran for the one-year term.

Briamonte gained 24.19 percent of the votes and received a total 2,075 votes. Reddy obtained 22.85 percent of the votes and recorded 1,960 votes. Collins finished with 25.01 percent of the votes and registered 2,146 votes, according to Monmouth County Clerk website.

Wall took in 58.47 percent of the votes and collected 1,968, according to the Monmouth County Clerk website.

“It’s an honor to serve the schools I attended as a child. Also, it’s great to be able to make a positive difference in my hometown. Our four children are now attending the same schools. The circle of life is a beautiful thing and I believe that we can do all things well,” Wall said.

Wall said, “Folks want ‘less talk and more do’ in public service. There are a host of issues that are worthy of discussion.”
According to Wall the issues he plans to address include: completing the referendum early and under budget; budgeting thoughtfully and cutting the tax burden; enhancing teaching in many different ways; ensuring transparency and openness always by being proactive and responsive from the top down; maximizing technology and giving the township’s children the tools needed; school start times and transportation; full time kindergarten; and being available to residents.
“We need [to] work together and get things done. We need to show value to the students and their families each and every day. I look forward to the opportunity,” Wall said.
