State Sen. Patrick Diegnan, Jr. (D-Middlesex County), Assemblywoman Nancy Pinkin (D-Middlesex County) and members of the Edison Fire Department took a tour to learn more about the operations of LyondellBasell on June 2.

The dignitaries discussed the importance of manufacturing jobs and a variety of other topics affecting the 18th Legislative District.

“The spirit of discovery and innovation was on full display during my tour and highlighted by the contributions of hardworking constituents to the LyondellBasell Edison Plant,” Diegnan said. “Based upon the heritage of licensing and technology leadership, LyondellBasell is uniquely positioned to deliver world class manufacturing processes and expand its footprint in Edison leading to more high paying jobs in our area while growing our New Jersey economy.”

The Edison plant at 340 Meadow Road, manufactures the company’s Avant ZN catalysts used in the production of polypropylene plastic resins. These products are used in the manufacturing of automotive parts, plastic toys, containers and home furnishings.
