‘Three Holiday Tenors’ concert set for Dec. 9 in Monroe

On March 19, 2015, the Marine Band performed at Messiah College in Mechnicsburg, Pa. The program, conducted by Lt. Col. Jason K. Fettig, included music by Samuel Jones, David Conte, Maurice Ravel, Bernard Hermann, John Philip Sousa, and John Williams. The concert was a part of the National Trumpet Competition and also featured guest soloist John Rommel performing David Gillingham’s When Speaks the Signal-Trumpet Tone. The Monroe Township Cultural Arts Commission will present “Three Holiday Tenors” with the N.J. Festival Orchestra, conducted by David Wroe, at 2 p.m. on  Dec. 9 at the Richard Marasco Performing Arts Center, 1629 Perrineville Road, Monroe.

Conducted by David Wroe, the orchestra will accompany award-winning tenor Cody Austen and others during the family festival of symphonic pops and wintertime favorites.

 

The cost is $30 general admission, $25 for patrons or free for students.
