Brian and Stephanie Young opened Big Frog Custom T-Shirts and More of Monmouth in Howell in November 2015. Big Frog is a fun, high-technology garment decorating retail store where customers work with a graphic designer to create personalized, unique apparel.
After 28 years in the telecommunications industry, Brian decided to take the leap into the Big Frog pond and runs the daily operations. Stephanie continues to work in the insurance industry and hops in to assist at the store and with marketing during her off hours.
Lifelong local residents, Brian and Stephanie love the opportunity to work with other local businesses, schools, teams and non-profits in the community. They are proud sponsors of the Howell Girls Softball League and Relay for Life of Howell. They also work together with non-profits such as CFC Loud and Clear and JAR of Hope.
Their business has also become a family affair, with the Youngs’ two daughters, Jessica and Michelle, learning the entrepreneurial ropes when home during college breaks helping to run the store.
Big Frog of Monmouth recently received the prestigious Howell Chamber of Commerce 2017 Business of the Year Award on Oct. 20 at the Chamber’s Annual Dinner Dance.
