Reformed church home collecting toys for tots

Reformed Church Home, a senior community in Old Bridge, will be collecting Toys for Tots this holiday season for donation to the Marine Corps Reserve. Area residents are welcome to drop off unwrapped toys at the Home, located at 1990 Route 18 N, any time between 8 a.m.-8 p.m. in the main lobby, until the last collection day, Dec. 14.

Toys for Tots is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve that distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. The program was founded in 1947 by military reservist Major Bill Hendricks. The residents and staff of Reformed Church Home have participated in the program for the past 10 years.

Reformed Church Home is a highly respected, not-for-profit senior community offering assisted living, rehabilitation and skilled nursing to seniors of all faiths and beliefs. Named a U.S. News & World Report Best Nursing Home for 2017-18, the home consistently has received outstanding annual surveys from the State of NJ Department of Health, as well as 5-star Quality of Care ratings from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services each quarter since the inception of the program in 2008.
