EAST BRUNSWICK – In preparation for East Brunswick Hadassah’s annual Gift Wrap for Cancer Research, East Brunswick High School students attended the chapter’s GIFTWRAP 101 for training.

Learning the finer points of giftwrap, demonstrator Christine Hardison
showed the students the tricks of the trade on Nov. 30 at the East Brunswick Jewish Center. The students then practiced their skills by wrapping their own gifts, according to information provided by Hadassah.

Marsha Schiffman and Fran Katz gave the students background on Hadassah, its medical research and procedures to be followed at the giftwrap booth.

The students were inspired to volunteer by their teacher Audrey Domond, part of the educators’ women’s group Alpha Delta Kappa.

More volunteers are needed to wrap gifts near Macy’s at the Brunswick Square Mall, 755 Route 18, East Brunswick. Proceeds will go toward cancer research.
