The Old Bridge Library will offer a holiday concert featuring local musicians performing the harpsichord, violin and keyboard at noon on Dec. 23.
Violinist Alexei Yavtuhovich and harpsichordist/keyboardist Shea Velloso will appear in concert, presenting a program of holiday and seasonal music as well as pieces by J.S. Bach and G.F. Handel at the library, Route 516 and Cottrell Road, Old Bridge.
Old Bridge resident Yavtuhovich was born in Belarus, earned a degree at Sokolovsky’s Musical College in Belarus, and was a member of the Belarus State Concert Orchestra, the Belarus State Concert Orchestra and Belarus String Quartet. He has performed throughout Europe.
Velloso is a graduate of Mason Gross School of the Arts in New Brunswick, and has appeared in concerts on the public radio show “Pipedreams” and on public television. He serves as director of music at United Methodist Church in Milltown.
While the event is free and open to the public, attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable food item for donation to the Old Bridge Food Pantry.
