Metuchen-Edison NAACP presents a comedy play Dec. 17

The Metuchen-Edison NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) will present the comedy play “Laid Out” at 3 p.m. Dec. 17 at the Livingston Student Center Theatre, 84 Joyce Kilmer Avenue, Piscataway.

The play is based on actual funeral services in ten scenes and performed by a chorus of women. Composer William “Spaceman” Patterson, who has collaborated with Miles Davis and James Brown and poet Bentrice Jusu, will open the show. Holiday vendors will be present. Adult tickets are $20 and student and children tickets are $10.
