The office of state Assembly members Eric Houghtaling and Joann Downey will be accepting donations of housewares and kitchen supplies to benefit a Shrewsbury family following a house fire.

On Nov. 30,  a local Shrewsbury family family lost their home and their belongings in a fire. Although they have since relocated for the time being, they are in need of supplies to replace what was lost. Local residents are encouraged to help ease the family’s burden by donating new or gently-used items.

The family is currently in need of kitchenware, kitchen appliances, cups, mugs, plates, and utensils, and other home goods. With the holiday season here, toys and activities for their two young sons, aged 5 and 4, will also be accepted.

Donations can be dropped off at 802 West Park Ave, Suite 221, Ocean Township, NJ 07712. The office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
