East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania announced that the following area residents received degrees at the winter commencement ceremony on Dec. 16: Caitlin Fisher, of Howell, Bachelor of Science in public health; Aileen Corless, of Jackson, Bachelor of Arts in Spanish; Ira Hayes, of Jackson, Bachelor of Science in sport management; Maurice Jackson, of Jackson, Bachelor of Science in criminal justice; and Samantha Hosford, of Jackson, Master of Science in management and leadership (sport management).
William Mitchell of Jackson has been named to the dean’s list for the 2017 fall semester at Belmont University, Nashville, Tenn.
