World War I program to discuss aircrafts, music of the war

The East Brunswick Historical Society will present its second program on World War I at 2 p.m. on Jan. 7 at the Historical Society House, 78 Milltown Road, East Brunswick.

Historical Society member Lawrence Goldsmith will discuss aircrafts of World War I, and the importance of music during the war, used as a tool to lift the spirits on the battlefield.

Additionally, Brian Armstrong, president of the South River Historical Society, will discuss local veterans who died during World War I.

There will also be an exhibit on display with World War I memorabilia from private collections.

Refreshments will be provided.
