CBA announces inductees into hall of fame

Three graduates, an administrator and two athletic teams will be inducted into the Christian Brothers Academy Hall of Fame at a ceremony that will be held on Feb. 9.

The inductees are Mark T. Apostolou, a graduate in the Class of 1972; Lou Aversano, who was graduated in 1984; and Frank C. Scheuer, who was a senor in 1977, will be inducted along with Jack Brennan, who served as the chair of the guidance department at CBA before he retired, and the 1970 tennis team and the 1978 indoor track and outdoor track teams.

The ceremony will be held at The Shadowboork in Shrewsbury.

Apostolou was an municipal judge for the State of New Jersey before his retirement, while Aversano serves as an chief executive officer for Ogilvy USA and Scheuer works as a chief operation officer for Wealth Management Group, Jefferies.

The ’78 track team was the first in CBA to win a state championship and the ’70 tennis team was the first from the school to win a state title.
