The East Brunswick Library will sponsor two programs to bring the community together to share their diverse perspectives on the world around them.

The library will present “Protecting Human Rights in the 21st Century: Challenges and Opportunities” at 7 p.m. on Jan. 23. Led by Dr. Bill Fernekes, the program discusses how human rights issues have local, national and global dimensions.

The program is co-sponsored by the East Brunswick Human Relations Council. It will be streamed on Facebook Live via the library’s Facebook account at www.facebook.com/eastbrunswicklibrary.

The library will then hold its second World Café program at 7 p.m. on Jan. 30. Titled “How Can We Give Back?” this event allows attendees to connect diverse perspectives, learn new insights and share collective discoveries about East Brunswick.

Registration is encouraged as there is limited seating. To register, call the library at 732-390-6767 or visit the library’s online calendar at www.ebpl.org/calendar.

Both programs are free and open to the public.

The library is located at Civic Center Drive off of Ryders Lane, East Brunswick.
