Bishop Checchio will observe World Day of the Sick at St. Peter’s Hospital Feb. 12

The Most Rev. James F. Checchio, bishop of the Diocese of Metuchen, will observe the World Day of the Sick by celebrating a special Mass and visiting patients on Feb. 12 at Saint Peter’s University Hospital, 254 Easton Ave., New Brunswick.

Checchio will lead a 12 p.m. Mass, which is open to the public, in the hospital chapel to be followed by visits with patients in various units of the hospital from approximately 2-3 p.m.

World Day of the Sick is observed annually at Saint Peter’s University Hospital.
