The early investigation revealed the pedestrian was reportedly walking on the far right side of the shoulder along Route 130 northbound when he was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle reportedly threw the pedestrian onto the grass along the side of the highway, and then continued northbound, police said. The pedestrian remained there until he could get a passerby’s attention and have police called.

The vehicle is a silver-colored vehicle, and should be missing the silver covering of the passenger-side mirror, police said. There may also be other passenger-side damage.

The North Brunswick Traffic Safety Bureau is investigating. Anyone with information should call Traffic Investigator David Incle at 732-247-0922, ext. 319.
