Applications available for North Brunswick Civilian Police Academy

Applications are available for the North Brunswick Police Department’s 2018 Civilian Police Academy, which is tentatively scheduled for Wednesdays, March 14-May 16.

Accepted applicants will work alongside North Brunswick first responders to gain insight into how the various departments work. Each session will focus on a different facet of law enforcement and emergency operations. The goal of this training opportunity is to have a better understanding of each other.

Anyone interested in participating must complete an application, be over 21 years of age, and be subject to a background investigation.

Completed applications can be emailed to JStrzy@NorthBrunswickNJ.gov, or mailed/dropped off to our the North Brunswick Police Department, 710 Hermann Road, North Brunswick 08902, ATTN: Detective Bureau-CPA.  A fillable PDF version of application is available upon email request. Applications should be turned in as soon as possible, but no later than March 1.

Priority selection will be given to North Brunswick residents and those persons who work within the township.

There will not be a physical fitness portion to this training, and there is no cost to register.

Attendees will not possess any type of police authority upon graduation.

Space is limited, so applications may be denied based upon any reason, including class size. Anyone with any questions should call 732-247-0922, ext. 331.
