The First Presbyterian Church of Metuchen will hold the 2018 Famine, a 30-hour fast by FPC’s Youth Group, from Feb. 23-24 at the Social Center, 270 Woodbridge Ave., Metuchen.
The Youth Group is raising funds to empower local communities to eliminate poverty and hunger.

The FPC Youth Group will be packaging 12,000 meals through the organization, Kids Against Hunger, which will go directly to a local food bank.
Participants are seeking sponsors to donate contributions in order to reach the Famine’s goal of $10,000. Anyone interested in donating can visit www.youcaring.com/the2018famine or make checks to First Presbyterian Church of Metuchen with Famine in the memo.
