A team from Freehold Township High School raised $7,791 and earned the School Spirit Award at the Southern Regional Walk, according to a press release.

“We thank the thousands of individuals, organizations, businesses and schools that are involved with our walks year after year,” said Alzheimer’s New Jersey President and CEO Ken Zaentz.

“We are incredibly grateful for their dedication to helping the 500,000 New Jersey residents who have Alzheimer’s disease or are caring for someone with Alzheimer’s or other dementias. Because of them, we are able to continue our mission of supporting the local needs of families impacted by Alzheimer’s disease,” Zaentz said.

One hundred percent of the funds raised by Alzheimer’s New Jersey support Garden State individuals and families, according to the press release.

The 2018 Walk to Fight Alzheimer’s schedule is as follows: Southern Regional Walk, Sept. 22, Point Pleasant Beach; Central Regional Walk, Oct. 7, Princeton. To register for an event, visit www.alznj.org, call 973-586-4300 or email walk@alznj.org
