James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Va., announced that the following area residents have been named to the dean’s list for the 2017 fall semester: Samantha Elizabeth Holland of Jackson, Sarah Nicole Pyne of Howell and Alexa Taylor Salameh of Howell.

Jillian Keshecki of Jackson, a sophomore at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Madison, was named to the dean’s list for the 2017 fall semester. Jillian is serving as a resident assistant. She is a 2016 graduate of Jackson Liberty High School.

Amanda Capasso of Jackson was one of 60 Muhlenberg College, Allentown, Pa., students who performed in this year’s production of “Master Choreographers.” The evening of ballet, contemporary dance, tap and jazz showcased new dance works choreographed by nationally and internationally acclaimed guest artists and faculty. The concert took place from Feb. 8-10.

The University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, Ala., has named the following area residents to the dean’s list (GPA of 3.5 and above) and the president’s list (GPA of 4.0) for the 2017 fall semester: Vincent Murphy of Howell, president’s list, Zoe Rosenmertz of Howell, dean’s list; Allison Kehoe of Howell, dean’s list, Erin Bilder of Jackson, president’s list, and Alexis Wolf of Jackson, president’s list.

Marist College, Poughkeepsie, N.Y., has named the following area residents to the dean’s list for the 2017 fall semester: Jason Carrete of Howell, Rebecca Castellani of Howell, Andrew DiBella of Howell and Kaitlyn Hassler of Jackson.

Hofstra University, Hempstead, N.Y., has named the following area residents to the dean’s list for the 2017 fall semester: Emily Duffy of Howell, Bret Francis of Jackson, Natalie Lorenzo of Howell, Frank Yee of Jackson and Shay Yostpille of Jackson.

Hofstra University, Hempstead, N.Y., announced that two area residents have been named to the provost’s list for the 2017 fall semester: Christopher Eiserle of Jackson and Sofia Major of Howell. The provost’s list recognizes students who have earned a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

Emily Pereira of Howell has been named to the Fall 2017 dean’s honor roll at Oklahoma City University, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Shannon Rappaport of Jackson has been named to the Cedarville University, Cedarville, Ohio, dean’s honor list for fall semester, 2017.

University of the Sciences, Philadelphia, Pa., has named the following area residents to the fall 2017 dean’s list: Sophia Abouhossein of Howell, Jay Cadiz of Howell, Tyler Gdovin of Howell, Amit Gohil of Howell, Magdalene Hanna of Jackson, Taylor Landis of Howell, Kayla Ojeda of Howell, Victoria Pobok of Jackson, Delghir Sanzhikov of Jackson and Jazmin Vasquez of Jackson.

Kayla Lang of Jackson has been named to the dean’s list for the 2017 fall semester at Merrimack College, North Andover, Mass.

Juliette Porcelli of Jackson is one of three University of Scranton, Pa., students helping to organize the IGNITE Student Leadership Conference, which is hosted by the university’s Center for Student Engagement and is open to students attending a college in Northeast Pennsylvania. Juliette is an accounting major. She is an intern with the Center for Student Engagement.

Darby Murnane of Jackson has been named to the dean’s list for the 2017 fall semester at the University of Maine at Farmington.

Katelyn Segilia of Howell is one of more than 90 students at Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre, Pa., participating in an internship for the 2018 spring semester. Katelyn, who is a psychology major, is interning with Evergreen Behavioral Intervention for Children.

Berkeley College, Woodland Park, has named Julia Mezle and Jessica Moreland, both of Howell, to the dean’s list for the 2017 fall semester.

Tyler Rauch of Jackson, a member of the class of 2019 majoring in mechanical engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester, Mass., was a member of a student team that recently completed a hands-on research project in Worcester. The project was titled “Creating a Tool to Measure Worcester Resident Perception.” In a project summary, the students wrote, “The project team worked alongside the Worcester Regional Research Bureau in a combined effort to identify the barriers between Worcester residents and the Worcester City government.”

Jonathan Hunter Ayres of Howell has been named to the president’s list at Clemson University, Clemson, S.C., for the 2017 fall semester. Jonathan is majoring in electrical engineering. To be named to the president’s list, a student must achieve a 4.0 grade point average.
