Children will learn safety tips from Metuchen first responders

Kicks Are For Kids, a non-profit organization, will present a Kid’s Safety Awareness Day at 1:15 p.m. on March 10 at Black Belt Institute, 23 New St., Metuchen.

Professionals from Metuchen’s police, fire and first aid squads will present safety issues relating to their expertise. Children will learn how to prevent fires, what to do if there is a fire, the dangers of household chemicals, how to handle social pressures, how to be street smart, what to do in the event of an accident.
