U.S. Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Joseph McLaughlin, who is a Manalapan High School graduate and a Manalapan native, has received Sailor of the Quarter awards while serving at Naval Medical Logistics Command (NAVMEDLOGCOM) in Frederick, Md. McLaughlin, a hospital corpsman, was named Sailor of the Quarter for the fourth quarter of 2017 and Sailor of the Quarter for the first quarter of 2018. As a hospital corpsman, McLaughlin assists in the prevention and treatment of disease and injury, and assists health care professionals in providing medical care to Navy service members and their families. McLaughlin is a student at University of Maryland University College and Brookdale Community College.
