Old Bridge Library to offer voting lecture, Ukranian egg decorating

Artist Jenny Santa Maria demonstrates how to design a Pysanka egg during an ‘Art of Pysanky: Ukrainian Eggs’ class held at Jackson Branch Library on March 15. The class introduced students to the historical significance of the art, materials and process to making their own Pysanka egg.

Various events will be held at the the Old Bridge Library in March.

At 2 p.m. on March 4, the one-woman play “Sick and Tired: The Fannie Lou Hamer story” will be performed by Diane L. Parker. The play tells the story of the triumphs and tribulations of Mississippi voting rights and civil rights activist Fannie Lou Hamer.

At 7 p.m. on March 7, a workshop will be held to provide tips about how to sell a home.

At 1:30 p.m. March 24, the library will offer a session on “Pysanky: Ukrainian Egg Decorating.”

The events will be held at the library, 1 Old Bridge Plaza at the corner of Route 516 and Cottrell Road in the Municipal Center.
